Working Remotely but, the Kids are On Summer Vacation!?!? Finding Balance Between Freedom and Boundaries
Summer vacation is upon us, and while it's tempting to let the kids run wild with endless screen time, setting boundaries is crucial for their well-being and our sanity, especially when working from home. As a mom of two—a lively 4-year-old boy and an inquisitive 10-year-old girl—I’ve found that a mix of freedom and structure works best for us. Both kids have summer schedules with built in screen time and summer rules to follow, helping us all maintain a healthy balance. This is also the first summer in a while where my daughter is not in camp for most of the time. We are really working on saving and getting ready for some much needed family trips so sacrifices have been made across the board.
